1. What prompted you to write the Christian Bible studies in What's Missing Inside You?
In our work with internationals, we realized that there were very few resources available for people who didn't have a Christian background. Virtually all published Christian Bible studies assume personal faith and some Bible knowledge. In this workbook I start at the beginning:
Creator God
Man's need
Jesus as Savior
The Holy Spirit
Many seekers and new believers are unfamiliar with the Bible. In these Bible study lesson plans, we have kept this in mind by writing out every Bible verse and explaining words that are uniquely Christian. There's nothing to look up. The wording is simple - but the concepts are far from simplistic.
2. Who will benefit from this study?
This workbook is not for you if you are content with the way you are. It is uniquely written for non-Christians and new believers. This study has been used to disciple internationals, business professionals and students.
Starting at square one, the concepts are explained in simple terms for people who are unfamiliar with the Bible. Mature believers will not only be challenged, but also be equipped with a valuable resource for discipling others.
3. What is the format of each lesson?
Each lesson of approximately 14 pages includes clear scriptural teaching, numerous real-life stories and quotes from various Christian authors. To emphasize Bible application we have included Individual Response Questions and a Personal Assessment at the end of every lesson.
4. How can I get the most from this workbook?
It is recommended that you study this book with a small group (2-10). Group members are asked to prepare the lesson in advance. The Individual Response Questions and the Personal Assessment are the basis for your small group discussion.
5. What help is given for the leader?
A sixteen page leaders guide is included in the workbook.
It includes:
principles of discipleship
how to maximize each session
a summary of each lesson
a description of the leaders, teachers, or authors who are quoted
If you can read it, you can lead it.
6. What groups have used this study?
What's Missing Inside You? has been used by many small groups, including:
